Mike Angley’s Video Interview from the Military Writers Society of America (MWSA) Convention

I recently received the link to the mini-interview I conducted when I attended the Oct 9 – 10 2009 Military Writers Society of America’s (MWSA) annual convention in Orlando, Florida.  I was interviewed by Bob Calvert, host of the Talking With Heroes talk show program, a nice benefit the MWSA arranged for all award winners.

Here it is — please note there are a couple of minutes of lead/intro time at the beginning of the video, and my actual interview starts at about the 2:14 point, and goes for about six minutes.  You may want to skip right to the beginning of the actual interview to save some time.  I hope you enjoy it!

Great job talking about your book. Now I’m even more interested in reading it!

    Hello Mike,

I was so happy getting a chance to listen to you and see you in this video. I had to show my mother as well as post this link up on myspace & facebook.

    Your #1 fan,
    Mike

Oh, i can’t forget to leave a comment about the ‘Open Mic’ you also did. I didn’t realize you were so comical :)

The story about the Egyptian lady on the plane kissing you was hilarious! And i hope your wife liked your pick for the decor. LOL!

    • Mike Angley says:

Thanks Michael for all the great comments…I think I left something out of the story about the Egyptian lady. I had turned to the airline agent and told her to give the old woman the first class ticket, and to give me her coach ticket. The old lady had no idea at the time what had happened, so it was when we landed in NYC that she grabbed me and kissed me!

Great job, Mike. I hope you sold a lot of books while you were there, and I’m glad to see the amount of attention your series is generating.

If you make it through Gettysburg again, be sure to let me know.
Runk’s Kickin’ Kitchen didn’t survive the economic environment, or their terrible coffee, but it’s been replaced by a joint called Tiptons, which is due to open sometime this month.
So next time you’re heading through – same place, different name, and breakfast is still on me.

    Robert

    • Mike Angley says:

Thanks Robert! Great to hear from you, and sorry to hear about Runk’s…hate to see local businesses like that shut down. I saw your comment on Twitter recently, and wanted to say thanks for the plug, but I haven’t figured out how to reply on Twitter! Be good and I hope to pass through Gettysburg again…will definitely let you know :)

      Mike
