Angley Attends Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA) Trade Show

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

I attended the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA) Trade Show at the Carolina First Center in Greenville, South Carolina from September 25 – 27, 2009.  It was a great event, very well organized, and I had the opportunity to meet and network with many professionals in the publishing industry.

I was there with my publisher, TotalRecall Publications, Inc, a Houston-based publishing house.  I signed several advance review copies of my forthcoming second novel, Child Finder: Resurrection, as well as sample softcovers of my first novel, Child Finder.

Here are some pictures…enjoy!

Debut Author Mike Angley’s September Radio Interviews about Child Finder

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I guested on two radio programs this month.

On September 12th FM radio station WYDE 101.1, “The Source,” which brands itself as the largest FM voice in the south, had me on as a guest.  Host Michael Hart interviewed me about the recent Obama administration decision to conduct investigations of CIA interrogators.  He picked my brain about the rationale behind Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision, its impact on CIA professionals, and the future of terrorism detainee interrogations.  Unfortunately, this is not an archived interview, so there’s nothing to listen to at the moment.

On September 15th, USA Radio Network’s Michael Ray Dresser interviewed me on his Dresser After Dark program that focuses exclusively on authors.  This interview is archived and you can listen to it on the link above.

Cheers

Tiny Earl Gives Angley’s Child Finder Book Trailer “4 Mullets”

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Or, a little slice of heaven with cheese whiz on top!

Linda Kozar is not only a FaceBook friend of mine, she’s also a Christian fiction author and owner of the “Linda Lou’s Book Trailer Park” blog where her alter ego, Tiny Earl, mulletizes book trailers (anything from one to five mullets, five being the best).  My Child Finder book trailer garnered four mullets (the heaven with cheese on top description :) ).

Here’s a little excerpt of what Tiny Earl had to say:

“Boy was I ever eggsighted when I heard the name o this here trailer–Child Finder Trilogy. Why, I think I spent most o my growd up life a-lookin’ fer my younguns! Theys always out somewheres digging holes, er parachuting off the roof with their bed sheets or playing ketch with a dead possum (like today fer instanse).
But that was cuz at first I thought this trailer was ’bout that kind o stuff. Only after I seen it I seed that it wuddn ’bout that at all. It’s about this here fella what has sigh-kick hillbillities an he uses ‘em to find chirren what’s lost or upduckted. An then of course the govnent revenewers gets a hold o him wanting to use his brains and such to push their pencils and make him do I-spy-with-my-eye kinda stuff and top secret sperments.”
Please visit Linda Lou’s blog for the entire review which is guaranteed to keep you in stitches!
Here’s my trailer, as well:
