Also, once the list was released, several blogs picked the list up and spread the good word around.  I’d like to thank all the following sites for re-listing it.  If I missed any, please post a comment here with your link and accept my apologies in advance.

On Father’s Day, June 21st, the Scranton-Times Tribune ran a feature story about me and my debut novel, Child Finder. I lived in the Scranton, PA area during my high-school and college days, so this was very much a local-boy dun good story :)

Mike Angley Launches Debut Novel, Child Finder, at Borders Books, Colorado Springs

Monday, June 8th, 2009

It was June 7, 2009…I was thrilled to launch my debut novel, Child Finder, at the Borders bookstore at the Chapel Hills Mall, Colorado Springs, Colorado.  I had the opportunity to sell many books (yeah!) and meet some wonderful people (bigger yeah!).  While I may have looked calm and cool, I was nervous inside…”Will anyone show up?”  “If they do, will they buy a book?”  I’m glad it went well.  Here are some pictures to memorialize the day:

Military Writers Society of America Features Mike Angley in June Newsletter

Monday, June 1st, 2009

The Military Writers Society of America (MWSA) featured yours truly in its June Newsletter (on page 11). The MWSA is an association of more than eight-hundred authors, poets, and artists, drawn together by the common bond of military service.  Most of its members are active duty military, retirees, or military veterans.  A few are lifelong civilians who have chosen to honor our military through their writings or their art.  The MWSA’s only core principle is a love of the men and women who defend this nation, and a deeply personal understanding of their sacrifice and dedication.
